1. Introduction
Welcome to Trek Tide Travels. By booking any tour, trek, transport service, hotel, holiday package, or related travel service with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
2. Booking Policy
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- A minimum advance payment is required to confirm any booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid before the commencement of the trip unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Customers must provide accurate personal details including name, contact information, and identification documents where required.
3. Payment Terms
- Payments can be made through bank transfer, UPI, cash deposit, or any approved payment method.
- Any applicable taxes, entry fees, permits, or service charges will be communicated at the time of booking.
- Trek Tide Travels reserves the right to cancel bookings if payment deadlines are not met.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation by Customer
- Cancellation made 15 days or more before departure: 80% refund.
- Cancellation made 7–14 days before departure: 50% refund.
- Cancellation made less than 7 days before departure: No refund.
- No refund will be provided for no-shows, unused services, or early departure from the trip.
Cancellation by Trek Tide Travels
- Trek Tide Travels reserves the right to cancel or modify any trip due to weather conditions, natural disasters, government restrictions, safety concerns, road closures, or insufficient participation.
- In such cases, customers will be offered an alternative date, alternative package, or refund depending on the circumstances.
5. Travel Documents & Identification
- Guests are responsible for carrying valid government-issued identification documents.
- Foreign nationals are responsible for obtaining valid visas, permits, and travel documents.
- Trek Tide Travels shall not be responsible for denial of travel due to missing or invalid documentation.
6. Health & Fitness
- Certain trekking and adventure activities require a reasonable level of physical fitness.
- Guests must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or health concerns before booking.
- Trek Tide Travels reserves the right to refuse participation if a guest’s condition may affect their safety or the safety of others.
7. Liability Disclaimer
- Trek Tide Travels acts only as a tour operator, transport arranger, and travel facilitator.
- We are not liable for delays, accidents, injuries, loss of baggage, theft, weather disruptions, natural calamities, strikes, political disturbances, or events beyond our control.
- Guests participate in trekking and adventure activities at their own risk.
- Clients are advised to obtain personal travel and medical insurance.
8. Changes to Itinerary
- Trek Tide Travels reserves the right to modify itineraries, accommodations, routes, transportation, or schedules due to operational requirements, weather conditions, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Every effort will be made to provide suitable alternatives.
9. Accommodation & Transportation
- Accommodation will be provided as per the selected package.
- Hotel check-in and check-out timings are subject to hotel policies.
- Transportation services are provided according to itinerary schedules and local transport regulations.
10. Guest Conduct
- Guests are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully toward fellow travelers, guides, hotel staff, drivers, and local communities.
- Trek Tide Travels reserves the right to terminate the trip of any guest whose behavior is considered unsafe, disruptive, illegal, or inappropriate.
- No refund shall be provided in such cases.
11. Force Majeure
Trek Tide Travels shall not be held responsible for failure or delay in performing services due to events beyond reasonable control including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Floods or landslides
- Government restrictions
- Pandemic situations
- Political unrest
- Road blockages
- Extreme weather conditions
12. Photography & Media
- Trek Tide Travels may use photographs or videos taken during trips for promotional and marketing purposes.
- Guests who do not wish to appear in promotional material must inform us in writing before the trip.
13. Privacy Policy
- Customer information is kept confidential and used only for booking, operational, and communication purposes.
- Trek Tide Travels does not sell or share customer data with unauthorized third parties.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws applicable in Jammu & Kashmir, India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Srinagar.
